Impact Week

Matthew 25:34-36 – “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’”

H.I.S. Ministry Port Pillows for St. Luke's Hospital & Cancer Action

April 15: 10:00am-2:00pm

Join us in making chemo port pillows for St. Luke’s Hospital and Cancer Action. Besides sewing, we need people to cut material and velcro, pin things together, and press and stuff the pillows. Children are welcome to join us with their parent’s supervision. Remember to bring a lunch and join us for fun and fellowship as we use our hands to glorify God!

Sleep in Heavenly Peace

April 15: 10:00-11:30am & 12:30-2:00pm

All children deserve a safe, comfortable place to lay their heads. Even in Kansas City, too many boys and girls go without a bed (or even a pillow) to sleep on. These children end up sleeping on couches, blankets, and even floors. This can affect their happiness and health. That’s where Sleep in Heavenly Peace comes in. We’re a group of volunteers dedicated to building, assembling and delivering top-notch bunk beds to children and families in need. Our goal for this day is to build 20 beds in the parking lot of BSCC. You don’t need any tools or experience – we’ll provide them both. All you need is a willing heart and a desire to help kids sleep in heavenly peace!

Owl Hollow Farm Fence Repair

April 15: 9:00am-12:00pm

Owl Hollow Farm provides a place of safety, acceptance, and healing for children by pairing them up with a horse that they groom, feed, ride, and care for. We will be replacing a section of broken fencing on this day, weather-permitting. The Neighbors Serving Neighbors Team is leading this project and may need additional days to complete the fence. Sign up to help that day or additional days as needed.

GBB provides buckets of food, supplies, and hope to men and women affected by homelessness. We will be taking two Sundays (April 16 and 23) to assemble the supplies for 200 buckets and fill these buckets for distribution later that month. Look for us in the lobby and encourage your family to help us fill a bucket with hope!
